2 months of Serving + 1 day of Celebration in East Austin.




2 months of service goes from Sept. 26 to Thanksgiving. HopeFest Celebration is on Oct. 26 from 9:30 am-3 pm.




HopeFest Celebration is at Reagan High School (click here for directions). Service area is 2 mile radius around Reagan in northeast Austin.

How to Help




We need:


1. Gently used children’s books

2. Gently used children’s clothing (ages 0-11)

3. New children’s bicycles

4. Used cribs and strollers (in good condition)


We are also looking for business partners and sponsors who can help with food or other donations for the HopeFest celebration.

1. Hundreds of volunteers are  needed for the HopeFest celebration on Oct. 26.


2. We are looking for church groups to take on a service project in partnership with an east Austin church, school or other organization.


3. Join in one of the planned prayer walks in the service area.

60 Days of Service

Our goal is to bless teachers, pastors, businesses, police, healthcare workers and many others who work hard to help people every day in northeast Austin.


Here are some examples of what you can do during the period of service from Sept 26 to Thanksgiving:


  1. Hold a “teacher appreciation” breakfast at one of the local schools

  2. Collect or buy children’s books (especially in Spanish) for local elementary schools and libraries to give out

  3. Collect men’s work clothes for Lisa’s Hope Chest. This ministry helps 300 clients get back to work each month.

  4. Mentor a child in the Reagan area schools.

  5. Become a long-term partner for the food pantry at the St. John Community Center

  6. Help furnish the Family Resource Center at Dobie Middle School.

  7. Purchase basic science equipment for Pickle Elementary School, or come do science demonstrations for the children.

Hold a clothing drive for one of the local community center clothes closets

Bring your youth group together with one from an area African- American or Hispanic church for an evening of fun

Join together with a local neighborhood association clean-up

“Prayer Walk” a local school, apartment complex or neighborhood

Help Reagan High School organize a “Career Day”

Volunteer or provide donations for the HopeFest Celebration on October 27.
